Train your beloved pooch to become a sociable, well-behaved member of the family
VIEW CLASSESHello
I’m Wendy (Cert.III, NDTF) and I run Good Dog Canine Education. My aim is to train your beloved pooch to become a sociable, well-behaved member of not only the family, but the wider community. We offer group classes and private tuition using positive reinforcement methods and reward-based training. Read about our ethics below, view our classes and get in touch to book or make an enquiry.
Reward-based methods
Good Dog Education uses proven, reward-based methods developed in accordance with reputable studies of canine behaviour, and advocated by top trainers and behaviourists such as Dr. Ian Dunbar, Terry Ryan, Karen Pryor and Dr. Patricia McConnell and by agencies like APDT, Delta Society, RSPCA, ASPCA and others. Our methods do not include the use of check chains, prong or pinch collars, shock or citronella collars, hitting, yelling, leash jerking, throwing things at the dog or any other technique that would produce pain, fear or intimidation.
A lifetime of learning
We keep up with the latest research, regularly attend seminars, classes and conferences, and are committed to a lifetime of learning new methods and techniques. Our goal is to offer the highest quality services in dog training and behaviour. We provide services to Mount Gambier. Millicent and surrounds. But mostly, we love dogs!
